Sandown Real Estate

Sandown is located in Rockingham County, New Hampshire.  It was once part of Kingston, and was incorporated in 1756.  It was named after Sandown on the Isle of Wright.

Sandown is home to the historic Sandown Meeting House, which was constructed in 1774.  It is noted for its outstanding craftsmanship and New England church architecture.  This distinctive New England house is located 1/3 mile from Main Street, and has been listed on the National Register of Historic Places.  

According to the 2000 U.S. Census Bureau, Sandown’s population at the time was 5,143 people.  This included 1,694 households and 1,382 families.  The average family size was 3.32 and the average household size was 3.02.  Sandown is comprised of 13.9 square miles of land and .5 square miles of water. 

Sandown Real Estate and Homes:  In 2000, there were 1,777 homes and an average of 128 homes (houses / condos) per square mile.  In 2007, it was estimated that real estate in Sandown was comprised of a total of 2,153 homes.  This included 1,825 single family houses and 200 multi-unit homes.
