Marlow is located on the northern border of Cheshire County, New Hampshire, and is a picturesque Yankee rural village.  Marlow’s village center includes a white church, the town hall, Odd Fellows Hall and a lily pond, making it a popular setting for photographers.  

Marlow was first named Addison, after the Secretary of State for England, Joseph Addison.  It was then named Marlow, after the English town, Marlowe.  Marlow was incorporated in 1772.  The town once had a strong woodworking industry and produced wooden buckets, tools and furniture.  The town is home to Honey Brook State Forest and was once home to PC Connection.

Marlow is comprised of 26 square miles of land and .5 square miles of water.  According to the 2000 U.S. Census Bureau, Marlow’s population at the time included 747 people, 221 families and 292 households.  The average family size was 2.89 and the average household size was 2.56.
